Amlan Datta

Professor

Amlan Datta has completed his B. Tech in Electronics and Electrical Communication. M. Tech in Microwave and Radar Engineering and Ph. D in Electronics from IIT Kharagpur in the year 1987, 1989 and 1992, respectively. During his Ph. D work, he published 6 papers in leading journal viz., IEEE Microwave Theory and Technique, IEE Proceeding Part H, etc. After completion of his Ph. D work he has worked in DRDO sponsored project and as Scientist in Defense Electronics Applications Laboratory for 5 years. He has worked in Reliance Communication for 12 years and rolled out and maintained GSM and CDMA network last as Wireless Lead, Kolkata. He has worked in ZTE Telecom India as Technical Head for 3 years and rolled out and maintained WCDMA network for Reliance Communication. For last 6 years he is working as Professor and Associate Dean, School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT, Deemed to be university. He has guided 2 Ph. D students, 25 M. Tech students and more than 100 B. Tech students during this period. He published 30 Scopus indexed papers.
