The Fresher’s Welcome Function 2026 (KINEXA 2026) was organized by the  School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT (Deemed to be University),  Bhubaneswar, on 22nd September 2026 (Tuesday) at the Auditorium,  Campus-6, KIIT (DU), Bhubaneswar, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The offline  event was attended by approximately 850 participants and was organized with  the purpose of warmly welcoming the newly admitted First Year students by the  Second Year students of the School.  

The programme commenced at 9:30 AM with the ceremonial lighting of the  lamp, symbolizing knowledge, enlightenment, hope, and the beginning of a new  academic journey. This was followed by the Welcome Address by Dr. Sudhakar  Sahu, Dean, School of Electronics Engineering, who extended a warm  welcome to the new students and highlighted the importance of academic  excellence, discipline, innovation, and active participation in campus life.

The inaugural session further featured addresses by Dr. Arun Kumar Ray,  Director Academic, Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Pro-Vice Chancellor  (Admin)-cum-Registrar, and Dr. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT (DU).  Their inspiring messages provided valuable guidance and encouragement to the  newly joined students as they embarked upon their academic journey at KIIT  (DU). The formal session concluded with a Word of Thanks by student  representatives, followed by the KIIT Anthem.  

The cultural programme, held from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, was presented by the  enthusiastic Second Year students of the School of Electronics Engineering.  The performances showcased creativity, talent, teamwork, confidence, and the  vibrant student culture of the School.  

KINEXA 2026 served as a meaningful platform for fostering senior-junior  interaction, friendship, peer bonding, mentorship, confidence, and a sense  of belonging among the students. The initiative by the Second Year students  provided the First Year students with a warm and memorable introduction to the  School community.  

Adding further distinction to the celebration, the School of Electronics  Engineering secured the Second Prize for its overall performance in  KINEXA 2026, reflecting the collective enthusiasm, coordination, talent, and  team spirit of its students.
