Write-up on the Event:

The School of Electronics Engineering, in association with the IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (APS), IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTTS) Student Branch Chapter, and the IEEE AP-S and MTT-S Bhubaneswar Chapter, successfully organized an online event on 26th April 2025 titled “IEEE AP-S/MTT-S Distinguished Instructors Workshop.” The program aimed to expose students, researchers, and professionals to global perspectives on emerging trends in antennas, microwave technologies, and wireless systems. The workshop was originally hosted by the IEEE AP/MTT Bangalore Joint Chapter in collaboration with REVA University, Bengaluru, in a hybrid mode, and featured distinguished international experts including Dr. Nuno Borges Carvalho, Dr. Qammer H. Abbasi, Dr. Chinmoy Saha, and Dr. M. Jaleel Akhtar. The speakers delivered insightful sessions on cutting-edge research, practical challenges, and future directions in RF, microwave, and antenna engineering. Representing the IEEE Bhubaneswar Section, Dr. Sudhakar Sahu, Chair, and Dr. Jyoti Ranjan Panda, Secretary of the IEEE AP/MTT Bhubaneswar Chapter, along with Mr. Arunya Paul and Mr. Saurav Kumar Yadav, Chairs of the IEEE MTT-S and AP-S KIIT Student Branch Chapters respectively, actively participated in the workshop. Their involvement strengthened regional representation, promoted knowledge exchange across IEEE Region 10, and emphasized social awareness and outreach through collaborative technical engagement.
